People usually say that he who fails to plan plans to fail. That is why I have made it a habit to plan my day. I am a model and a young business tycoon. As you can see, I do have a hectic schedule every day, and the only way I can work effectively to achieve daily success is by planning my day. Here’s my plan for the day.
As hard as it is, I’d wake up by four in the morning and have my quiet time of prayer. After that, I’d go for my thirty minutes work out. When I’m done with that, I’ll have my bath and groom myself. Then I settle down for my early morning coffee while waiting for my driver.
Mr. Suivon, my tall, dark and handsome, careful driver is usually ready by six. Don’t giggle there – he’s far younger than I am. First he takes me to my modelling firm, Vintage Modelling Agency. I go round examining my models especially the new recruits. I usually recruit at least two every week. In this industry, newness and freshness is the game. At the studio, we take some photo shoots and after that, I do some paper work. This takes me approximately two hours. Mr. Suivon gets me by 10:30 in the morning, after giving me thirty minutes of “me- time”. I have my brunch (breakfast and lunch) since I only drink coffee before leaving the house; I don’t consider that as food. Before heading for my construction site, I’d add some highlights to my makeup to ensure that I look my best.
Mr. Suivon picks me up and takes me to the construction site for my new boutique. I monitor the work going on there on daily basis to ensure that standard is maintained. I won’t visit the two old boutiques because I have capable hands there. Two hours later, Mr Suivon drops by and picks me.
Finally, he takes me to the import and export agency – a thirty minutes’ drive from the construction site – where I’d spend the rest of the day.
By 5 in the evening, I’d be done for the day and Mr. Suivon would take me home. I’d have a quick cold shower, prepare my dinner, and eat it! Then sitting before my large screen LED TV watching the national news at nine, I’d make plans for the next day, hoping for the best. Wish me luck!
